On Friday, March 22, 2019, the Label’Vie Group presented its 2018 annual results, during a press conference at the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

The Group’s executives thus returned to the strong figures of 2018 as well as the outlook for 2019, in front of an audience of journalists and market analysts :

The Label’Vie Group’s turnover in 2018, stood at 9,033.0 MDH, up 9% compared to 2017.

This evolution is driven by the good performance achieved by all the Group’s business segments:

    The “Carrefour Market” supermarket segment recorded a 6.0% increase in like-for-like sales as well as the opening of 16 new stores in 2018. The total sales of this segment thus achieved an increase of 11% compared to the previous fiscal year, i.e. 311 MDH of additional sales volume ;

  • The “Carrefour” hypermarkets segment, for its part, recorded a 6.1% increase in sales on a like-for-like basis as well as the opening of a new outlet in Tetouan, with very promising results;
  • The total sales of this segment have thus realized a jump of 13% compared to the previous fiscal year, that is to say 239 MDH of additional sales volume;
  • The “Atacadao” Hyper Cash outlets segment confirmed the clear increase of its sales volumes. The segment’s sales thus recorded an increase of 6.4% on a like-for-like basis, i.e. MAD 162 million in additional sales volume.

Moreover, the Group’s net income in 2018 improved by 20% compared to fiscal year 2017 to stand at 288.4 MDH.

In order to strengthen its strategic positioning as a Multi-Format player, the Group intends to continue its development and opening program. 16 new points of sale will thus see the light of day in 2019, representing nearly 30,000 sqm of additional sales area covering the 3 business segments. The Group also intends to maintain the upward trend in its various economic and financial indicators in 2019 in accordance with the objectives set out; as well as maintaining its dividend distribution policy.
